Harriet Lowe is a singer songwriter from the Southern Tablelands of NSW. Gaining inspiration from a range of artists including Megan Moroney, Kasey Chambers, Missy Higgins, Jewel and The Chicks, most would describe Harriet's well-curated blend of originals and covers as "alternate and popular country".
Her music resonates with fans of all ages touching on the emotions and struggles of everyday life. Harriet can regularly be seen performing throughout the Illawarra Region and is preparing to release new music throughout the coming year.
Long Bio
Harriet is a singer songwriter from a sheep and cattle farm near Crookwell, NSW. She currently resides in Wollongong and is studying at the University of Wollongong.
During 2024, Harriet has opened for a number of notable artists including Fanny Lumsden as part of her Town Halls Tour and Ross Wilson and the Peaceniks for the Land of Milk and Honey series at Kiama, NSW.
Other recent performances, events and venues have included Country on the Green at the Tap House, The Illawarra Hotel, The Headlands Hotel, The North Gong Hotel and the SHE Songwriting Muster on Great Keppel Island with Lyn Bowtell, Ashleigh Dallas and Kelly Brouhaha.
Harriet has participated in the Tamworth Country Music Festival for the past two years. This year, she was awarded the 'People's Choice Best Online' recipient in the fRETfEST Regional Song Writing Competition.
In 2023, Harriet performed as an Emerging Artist at the Bundanoon Folk Festival Harriet.
She was the Junior Winner at the 2023 Crookwell Country Weekend Busking Competition judged by the Hume Conservatorium and country industry legend, and Bushwacker, Roger Corbett and Sam Phillips from the Academy of Country Music, Australia. Following that, Harriet was invited to participate in the Academy of Country Music Junior Course.
At the Academy Harriet had the opportunity to collaborate with country stars Ashleigh Dallas and Aleyce Simmons. Aleyce described Harriet’s vocals as having beautiful strength and tone whilst also portraying fragility.
In 2022, Harriet produced her first original single, ‘Sixteen Years’, with renowned country singer, Chalkie White.
Harriet can regularly be seen performing throughout the Illawarra Region and is preparing to release new music throughout the coming year.
